CleverTap, MoEngage and WebEngage all price mainly on how many users you engage each month, plus the plan tier and add-ons you choose. Only CleverTap publishes a starting price on its pricing page: its Core plan is listed at $85 per month with a 30-day free trial. MoEngage and WebEngage share prices on request.
This guide summarises what each vendor publishes, what drives the final cost, and how to budget. All details are taken from the vendors’ pricing pages as checked in October 2026, so confirm with each vendor before you decide.

CleverTap pricing
CleverTap lists three plans: Core, Pro and Ultimate. Its pricing page shows Core at $85 per month, with taxes extra and add-ons excluded, and billing starting after a 30-day free trial. Pro and Ultimate are priced through a demo. CleverTap says plan pricing is based on monthly active users or data points, depending on your commercial model. Some features, such as RCS, are only available on Pro and Ultimate, and others are sold as add-ons.
MoEngage pricing
MoEngage lists two plans for its cross-channel marketing and analytics product, Growth and Enterprise, on its plans and pricing page. Both are priced through a sales conversation, and several capabilities are listed as add-ons. MoEngage also sells separate products for transactional alerts (Inform) and website personalisation (Personalize).
WebEngage pricing
WebEngage lists four plans, Solo, Band, Choir and Orchestra, on its pricing page, all with “Talk to us” pricing. Plans differ in features and limits, for example the number of active journeys: 5, 10, 20 and 100 respectively. WebEngage prices on monthly active users and assumes an average of 30 events per user per month. Higher event volumes need a conversation with sales, extra usage is charged pro rata, and WebEngage states that it does not offer free trials.
What drives the final cost
- Monthly active users: the biggest driver for all three. Price on the MAU you expect in 12 to 24 months, not today.
- Event volume: how much behavioural data you send per user.
- Plan tier: advanced journeys, AI features and analytics usually sit in higher tiers.
- Add-ons and channels: extra channels, personalisation and AI features are often priced separately.
- Channel costs: SMS and WhatsApp messages usually carry separate per-message charges from providers.
- Implementation: setting up tracking, data and journeys properly takes time, whether done in-house or with a partner.
How to budget and compare quotes
- Write down your current and expected MAU and average events per user.
- List the channels and features you need in year one, and which can wait.
- Ask each vendor for a quote on the same assumptions, including add-ons and overage rates.
- Check contract length, renewal terms and how price changes as MAU grows.
- Budget for implementation and migration alongside the licence.
